How to get rid of acne + scarring for acne prone skin !

Acne is a common problem rather you get it in just a few blemishes or severly. For those of use with acne prone skin, things are even worse. Acne prone skin breaks out very easily and it can be hard to find products that will both help cure the acne and  not cause more irritation.

Before I get into the routine let's start with some basics. If your skin begins to break out you'll need to quit use. If you switch to my products introduce them one at a time to your skin or it will cause irritation. Start with the cleanser, wait 3-5 days if you have no problems add the treatments, wait a week, add the moisturizer. Don't add them all at once because your skin won't react correctly. Also, use sunscreen. You might need to adjust your make up products if you wear them. And drinking a lot of water will help your skin out also.

Alright, the basic steps of a skin care routine are cleansing, toning, moisturizing and treating. I skip toning because it's unnecessary. If for any reason your convinced you NEED a toner feel free to add one to the routine. My routine uses three acne fighting ingredients, these products ALL work well together so it will help your acne to clear up quickly. However my routine is not permenate, though it will help get rid of things you'll need to keep at my routine. You can drop things as you go along or use less of the products, but if you quit use entirely your acne will return.

CLEANSING:

I use two cleansers, one for morning one for night.
You'll need one that's medicated and one thats not.

Let's start with the medicated cleanser. This means it will help treat acne or has acne medications in it. There are a ton of options, but let's go with one that has a staylic acid treatment. In my routine I combine three acne fighting ingredients in a way that will help your skin, so it's important that whatever cleanser you use  has staylic acid!
Though I'm still playing around with medicated cleansers, right now I'm using LOREAL's 360 clean, in the green container.
I use this NIGHTLY. Typically in the shower.

Now for my morning cleanser, or the un medicated cleanser. After experimenting I've noticed that acne fighting cleansers tend to cause break outs when you use them in the morning because the ingredients don't react well to the sun. So I choose to wash my face in the mornings. You can use a non medicated cleanser, gentle cleansing wipes, or just wash your face in water.
Since I have a naturally terrible red face I choose take fix this in the mornings. I use  a cleanser called EUCERINE. They make a redness relief cleanser that works great for me.
You can use any one, but eucerine and cetaphil are probably the best options.

TREATING MY BLEMISHES:
So the obvious thing to do is get a spot treatment, those don't always work. I DO use one but it's not the only thing I use. I use hydrogen peroxide as well.

To treat with hydrogen peroxide, you simply dab a cotton swab into the peroxide and dab it directly onto your blemish. Do NOT get it around it or it will bleach your skin. Also don't use too much. You'll feel a burning sensation but your blemish will be healed within a few days, sometimes a few hours depending on the size. This is safe for popped pimples as well! it'll burn more but it heals then fast and prevents scarring. Do this whenever you have an active pimple, don't use it once it's down to a scar.

After applying the hydrogen peroxide, you'll want to do something to help the areas around it. I use a 10% benzyl peroxide treatment. You can buy the generic ones for about $3. Apply this to your scars as well, it'll fade them and eventually make them go away.

Use these NIGHTLY! Do NOT use either in the mornings.
Do this and you blemishes will be gone before you know it.

MOISTURIZING:

Let's face the fact, my routine is drying for your skin. You'll need a GOOD moisturizer.
Try not to get one meant for treating acne/pores/blackheads/anything. It needs to be un medicated and natura; or organic ones will work best!
I switch between two depending on my skin. If my skin is average feeling or normal I use Noah's naturals Age defying moisturizer with SPF 15. (IT's always a plus to have SPF ! ) and if my skin is feeling dry I switch to a more moisturizing one, which is NIVEA's face/body/hands moisturizer.
Both brands work great and don't cause break outs on my face. You can use these or your own. If you have dry or combination skin I would recommend using the nivea moisturizer since it's stronger.
Only moisturizer IN THE MORNINGS because the acne treatment is less effective when you apply a moisturizer as well. If you have dry skin you can make the exception, just remember that it'll take longer.

This routine cleared my skin within a week. Not to mention it's really affordable. I would recommend it to anyone.
